With its gorgeous Tudor Heritage Chronograph (Ref. 70330n), the Swiss-based watchmaking brand pays homage to the legendary Tudor Oysterdate Chronograph from the early 1970s.

Powered by the Valjoux 7734 hand-wound movement, the original watch naturally featured a classic bi-compax chronograph layout that was visually supported with a generously sized date window with a signature magnifying lens that was placed directly above it.
Almost forty years after the introduction of the Tudor Oysterdate Chronograph, the famous Swiss brand re-introduces the watch with a new movement and refreshed styling, but with the same spirit of adventure that’s seen in every detail of the new chrono.
The second-generation model grew in size from compact 40 mm to more imposing 42 mm in width.
The fixed bezel of the Oysterdate with a tachymetric scale engraved on it was replaced with a bidirectional rotating bezel. Featuring knurled edges for better grasp, the bezel also sports a black insert with 12 Arabic numerals that, if the need arises, allow to use it as a second time-zone indicator.
As you can see in the pictures, the knurled motif of the bezel, which is clearly inspired by the exciting world of motorsports, is repeated on the screw-down chronograph push-pieces, as well as on the massive setting crown, which is protected from sudden shocks with a pair of elegantly shaped shoulders.
Although the tried and true ETA 2892-A2 automatic movement with an add-on chronograph module from the reputable complications specialist Dubois Depraz is modestly hidden behind a solid case back, it’s bridges and plates are still thoroughly decorated with circular graining, while the steel oscillating weight is adorned with Tudor logo and the famous Cotes de Geneve pattern.
The new Tudor Heritage Chronograph (Ref. 70330) is available with two versions of its sporty dial: strict as a business suit “Grey on Black” and a vintage-styled “Black on Grey.” While the former will look especially good with a three-link solid steel bracelet with a new clasp and “Tudor” shield logo, the latter just has to be ordered with a black, grey, and orange fabric strap that will perfectly match the same color scheme of the dial.
