The upcoming Oris Swiss Hunter Team PS Edition (ref. 01 733 7629 4063-Set LS in 44 millimeters and a smaller ref. 01 733 7649 4091-Set LS in 38 mm) collection may not look particularly original both to Oris fans and to those especially interested in aviator’s timekeepers, but, with a part of the proceedings promised to be diverted to a fund supporting a number of the last remaining Hawker Hunter Mk 58 fighter jets from the good old Cold War era, it certainly supports a noble cause.

Chanel J-12 Chromatic in Titanium Ceramic
The 2011 Chanel J-12 Chromatic (ref. H2566) is presented in a new (or, rather, previously not employed as a material of choice by other watchmaking or jewelry brands) form of ceramic. Probably based on titanium carbide, it looks more like high-polished metal and is way more attractive than those glossy, plasticky timekeepers made using different versions of the extremely robust (albeit easy to shatter) material that was popularized by Rado decades ago.
A. Lange & Sohne Saxonia Grows in Size
The A. Lange & Sohne Saxonia is now available in a slightly larger, but better-proportioned case crafted from 18-karat rose gold: growing both in diameter and thickness the new (Ref. 380.032) counterintuitively looks thinner than the previous version of the piece that featured a hand-wound caliber inside its compact body.
F.P. Journe Octa UTC: 2 Time Zones with a Twist
F.P. Journe, one of the most refined and innovating Swiss manufactures, has recently presented its new Octa UTC Automatic model that allows you to set secondary time by simply choosing one of 24 geographical zones.
JeanRichard Bressel Hommage a Daniel is a Tribute to the Brand’s Founder
As the name implies, the new JeanRichard Bressel Hommage a Daniel (ref. 60119-52-70A-AA6) is a tribute to the gorgeous Daniel pocket watch from the XVIII century. Created by Daniel JeanRichard just over 300 years ago at 1710, it featured a sophisticated chain and fusee mechanism, featured an egg-like case that allowed to admire the mechanism in all of its beauty, and can be considered a true marvel even in our time after three centuries of constantly accelerating technological progress.
Hublot Big Bang 38 mm Automatic Ladies
Hublot has recently presented a new Big Bang 38 mm collection equipped with a Sellita SW300-based HUB 1110 automatic movement. There is also a more practical -albeit not as *ahem* classy- “Swiss Made” quartz caliber. The HUB 1110 is a very basic mechanism that is only slightly refinished and fine-tuned above the basic specs to meet stricter standards of the ultra-luxury segment. Yet, you may still want to consider acting fast if you are interested in this gadget. Luxury wristwatches featuring self-winding movements (instead of, you know, quartz) are rare species in this niche and, something tells me, the collection won’t stay in production for long.
