Oris RAID 2013 Chronograph (Ref. 01 775 7686 4084-Set)

Being an official timekeeper of RAID Suisse-Paris classic car rally (this year the race, which is reserved exclusively for cars that were built before the year 1975, will start on 22 August 2013) where dozens of oldtimers travel from Basel, Switzerland to Paris, France via Nancy and Reims, the Swiss watchmaker Oris introduces a new limited edition watch.

This new Oris RAID 2013 Chronograph Limited Edition (Ref. 01 775 7686 4084-Set) looks very similar in styling to the RAID 2011 Alarm Edition (Ref. 908 7607 4094) that was introduced two years ago, but features a different set of functions.

Eberhard & Co. Scafodat 500 41025 Professional Diver

If memory serves, the Eberhard & Co. Scafodat 500, a professional diving tool, was first introduced back in 2006 or 2005. In 2013, it was slightly updated. Although I cannot see any noticeable differences between the ref. 41025 2013 model and previous iterations, the timekeeper still deserves a mention now, when thousands of recreational divers still sit on the fence trying to choose among dozens of great mechanical diving watches that are available both online and at numerous boutiques.

2013 Alpina Extreme Diver 300M Collection

Alpina Geneve has released yet another update to its Extreme Diver 300M collection of cushion-shaped divers. After a mild facelift to its chronograph that was revealed in May during Baselworld 2013 event, the Swiss-based company turned its attention to the three-hander version of the diver. Just like the previous iteration, the 2013 Alpina Extreme Diver 300M collection (Refs. AL-525LBO4V26, AL-525LBO4V26B & AL-525LBO4V26B2) will be available in three versions that will differ only in the way the gadget is secured on your wrist.

Linde Werdelin: New Colors for Oktopus II Collection

The mildly refreshed Oktopus II Titanium Double Date collection now comes in a flashy new color of lipstick red. The color is not limited to just the dial and the thick rubber strap, but also decorates the gaskets between eight steel screws and the black ceramic bezel of the piece. And if you get tired of so much red on your wrist, the rubber band can be easily swapped for a more discrete black textile strap that comes free of charge.

Baume & Mercier Capeland Worldtimer: Finally in Rose Gold

‘Worldtimers’ are extremely popular these days. They are produced as ultra-limited one-offs, as well as dirt-cheap throwaways from numerous Chinese “fashion” brands with a lifespan of a fruit fly. Baume & Mercier has recently introduced its own take on the idea. Powered by a (technically) in-house automatic caliber, the new Baume & Mercier Capeland Worldtimer (ref. MOA10107 aka 10107) is available both in stainless steel and in a lot more expensive rose gold body.

Alpina Extreme Diver 300 Automatic Chronograph

Back in 2012, Alpina has presented its rugged-looking Extreme Diver 300 three-hander. For this year, the Swiss-based brand updated the collection with a chronograph version predictably calling it “Alpina Extreme Diver 300 Automatic Chronograph“.
