During the Baselworld 2012 international trade fair that took place in March, right, 2012, the Swiss brand presented its limited-edition Frederique Constant Carrera Panamericana collection. Presented in two versions (each limited to 1888 numbered pieces,) it was powered by a hand-wound movement based on a “vintage” pocket-watch caliber.

Jaeger-LeCoultre Delivers Entry-Level Master Control
The slightly facelifted 2012 Jaeger-LeCoultre Master Control is (at least the version in a discreet -and also way more affordable- stainless steel body, ref. Q1548420) a nice entry-level model for those buying their first “Real Swiss Made” timekeeper.
TMI: Fortis F-43 Flieger Chronograph Alarm GMT
As the -enormous length of the- name of the new model explicitly states, the new limited edition Fortis F-43 Flieger Chronograph Alarm GMT (Ref. 703.20.92 LC05) is literally overstuffed with features, those including not only the usual chronograph and second time zone, but also a nice mechanical alarm module!
Moving Upmarket: 2011 Baume & Mercier Linea Two-Tone
The beautiful Linea Collection with its nicely finished stainless steel case and a mother-of-pearl dial proved to be so popular among the target audience that it would be a crime not to introduce yet another, more upscale iteration. Now available in an even more expensive combination of materials, the 2011 Baume & Mercier Two-Tone Linea 10073 mixes solid 18-karat rose gold with high-grade stainless steel.
Archimede Pilot H Reintroduced in a Smaller Case
Around three years ago, Archimede has revealed its Pilot H limited-edition model. The Pilot H was a sort of “homage” to their successful Pilot Original that was powered by a vintage (so-called “New Old Stock”) Junghans 687 hand-wound movement. This year, the German brand decided to bet on yet another iteration of the same timekeeper that is now introduced in a smaller case. Meet the “historic” Archimede Pilot 39H!
Jaeger-LeCoultre Master Eight Days Perpetual 40
This year JLC has updated its Perpetual Calendar collection with the new Jaeger-LeCoultre Master Eight Days Perpetual 40 (ref. Q1612520). Now available in an 18-karat rose gold case and still featuring the same sophisticated, slightly off-white dial with lots of sub-dials and other indicators, the timekeeper still makes a strong impression and maybe an interesting choice for a person looking for a dressy “complication” watch.
