It’s been a while since Perrelet started offering a range of diving timekeepers to its loyal customers, but it is only now that the Swiss watchmaking brand decided to expand the product line-up with a model that features their outstanding, aerospace-inspired double rotor design. Called Perrelet Turbine Diver (ref. A1066), the new automatic watch is delivered in a terribly oversized body, features numerous color schemes and is good for whole 300 meters of water resistance.

Oris Tubbataha Regulator is a Beautiful Monster
The limited-edition Oris Tubbataha Regulator Diver (ref. 01 749 7663 7185-Set RS) speaks the same design language as their 2011 Regulateur Der Meistertaucher (ref. 01 649 7610 7164-Set) professional diving tool. Yet, the regulator is slightly smaller, is rated for more practical water resistance, and sports a new movement based on the Sellita SW220 unit.
Tudor Pelagos Diver Titanium 500M Automatic
On the heels of the recent Heritage Black Bay 200M diver the Swiss watchmaker has also presented an even more extreme model that is claimed to be inspired by their “classic” pieces. Although not a reissue in the true meaning of the word, this new Tudor Pelagos Diver Titanium 500M (ref. 25500TN) is strongly influenced by the 1968 Tudor Snowflake Ref. 7021. Not being a tool watch any longer, the premium-priced 25500TN is a lot more refined than its predecessor.
Clerc Hydroscaph Central Chronograph CHY-554 Black DLC
The new Clerc Hydroscaph Limited Edition Central Chronograph (ref. CHY-554) comes equipped with a central chronograph minutes hand that not only makes the timekeeper’s dial more interesting to look at. The design also significantly simplifies the task of measuring short periods of time: something that most common chronographs with their tiny, difficult-to-read totalizers are not always good at.
Glycine Combat Golden Eye Automatic Diver
Glycine has finally updated its military-styled ‘Combat’ collection with a new version. Featuring a black PVD-treated case with rose gold PVD elements, the timekeeper is -sort of pretentiously- named Glycine Combat Golden Eye (Ref. 3863.399 C6-TBA9). Well, I hope that next year they will offer the same model with the bezel and crown crafted from bronze. Although not as flashy (if you can apply the adjective to such a noble alloy with its aura of adventure and glory,) on certain markets it’s going to be smashing.
Under Pressure: Alpina Extreme Diver 300M
During Baselworld 2012 trade show the Swiss watchmaker Alpina has presented a pretty sexy automatic diver. The new Alpina Extreme Diver 300M not only sports a nicely-shaped case with an easy to grasp notched bezel but also features a pretty much impressive water resistance rating of 30 ATM: that’s 300 meters!
