The Luminox Field Automatic 1800 Series finally offers you a pair of military-style watches that combine their proprietary LLT self-illuminating technology and the amazing presence of a mechanical automatic movement. Just as their quartz-powered siblings, this collection comes in two case sizes that range from modest 43 mm to gargantuan 48 millimeters in diameter.

Sporty and Aggressive: Chronoswiss Pacific Collection
Chronoswiss -a luxury brand that was established almost three decades ago in Munchen, but then moved to its current location in Lucerne, Switzerland- will soon start selling the new Pacific Collection that includes a pair of chronographs and a three-hander. As usual, all versions are powered by Swiss-made movements. According to the officially disseminated specification lists, the new timekeepers will be presented in slightly oversized bodies 43 millimeters in diameter that seem to be absolutely adequate for the sporty-styled watches with their aggressive color accents and energetically sculpted elements.
Hublot King Power Ayrton Senna (719.QM.1729.NR.AES10)
With the limited-edition 2010 King Power Ayrton Senna (ref. 719.QM.1729.NR.AES10), Hublot celebrates the 50th anniversary of the legendary Formula 1 driver and 3-times F1 world champion Ayrton Senna da Silva who died at the wheel of his car sixteen years ago at the 1994 San Marino Grand Prix race. As usual, the ultra-luxury chronograph arrives in a ridiculously huge case that combines ultra-lightweight carbon fiber, scratch-resistant ceramics, and not so much good taste.
Fortis Art Edition Andora Emotions Chronograph
Fortis has just presented us with yet another member of its Art Edition limited edition series. Designed by a kinda obscure German pop artist Andora and called the Fortis Art Andora Emotions Limited Edition, this crazy timepiece looks like a colorful fountain of positive emotions and fun!
Oris BC4 RHFS Limited Edition (ref. 674 7616 4284 Set)
Oris has devoted the 2010 limited-edition BC4 RHFS (ref. 674 7616 4284 Set) chronograph to the 4e Régiment d’Hélicoptères des Forces Spéciales (4th Special Forces Helicopter Regiment) that was established in August, 2009 and is now based in Pau, Pyrénées-Atlantiques. Despite being an “aviator” (well, it is not your classic B-Uhr, but it is still styled like a plane’s instrument gauge,) the new BC4 RHFS is presented in a comparatively compact body and is equipped with a natural-born chronograph movement.
Mido Multifort PVD Special Edition Chronograph
When I wrote the first draft of this brief review, I started with a claim that this (then) “new Mido Multifort PVD Special Edition Chronograph (ref. M005.614.37.051.01) was one of the most bizarre “ordinary” timepieces I have seen this year.” Now, upon taking some time (more than eight years, actually) to reconsider my opinion, I decided to partially re-write this article as this relatively affordable gadget grew on me (if that’s possible to say since I was too slow to grab one of these beasts myself and now if you don’t mind the expression, have to enjoy it from a distance) and I now think that this thing is interesting in its ability to mix things that many watchmaking specialists deem, um, unmixable. I would also like to note that, as guys in crime movies often say, I am not making this statement under any duress: I simply changed my opinion after so many years.
